Joanna Bennett is delighted to introduce WIP, a powerful and emotive new poetry collection, a lyrical exploration of resilience, resistance and hope.

Following on from her 2020 hit ‘Tiny Lungs’ (picked up for the High Low podcast finale) and 3000+ titles sold worldwide, WIP continues with the author’s trademark style, poignant, moving and shot through with wit, hope and beauty.

Her core themes and reflections on modern life, identity, womanhood and cultural tensions remain, this time undercut with the hum of sight loss flickering in the background.

Since publishing Tiny Lungs, Joanna was diagnosed with Punctate Inner Choroidopathy, a rare inflammatory eye condition that has caused her sight loss.

WIP responds to this, both in content and in its conscious design, and it is optimised for readers with sight loss. The cover for WIP is inspired by the Snellen eye chart, the standard tool for measuring visual acuity.
